I've had the NA6005 for about 4 months. It has worked fine for the most most part but lately it randomly started showing the message 'No Network Connection'. I have looked all over the internet and cannot find anyone else having this issue. Previously, I managed to get the Wi-fi working again is by resetting the unit to factory settings. This sucks as it looses the favourites with every reset so I've given up using this feature, which I really enjoyed.
However today not even resetting the settings works either! Scanning for Wi-fi network displays the message 'no wireless network found'!!!
Has anyone experienced this? Very true- very unsightly I would rather the problem is resolved also but if its something that re-occurs after it is resolved, homeplugs is an option as suggested Did you switch off the na6005 after you got it working?
Stream music throughout your home with HEOS multi-room listening and full wireless connectivity through the HEOS app or Amazon Alexa Voice Control, supported by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple Airplay. With the Marantz AV8805, you get incredible fidelity and unparalleled audio precision.
Is the ip address on the Na6005 static or dynamically set? By that i mean does the router/network assign the NA6005 automatically (dynamic) when device is switched on or have you manually entered it (static) which that ip is assigned to the na6005 mac address on the router If set statically, the ip address is permanently assigned to that device unless told otherwise - no matter what. Requires more user interaction which some or many may not be comfortable with doing. You are able to do this on a Talk Talk router and is a one time process which you could try. By default, its normally dynamic which is easiest for the average user as they will have not much to do. But the ip is only on loan to the device (na6005) for a period of time and is released back to the router/network after that time is up or when the device is switched off.
Next time the device is switched on, the ip can and most likely will be different to the one it had previously. Its not uncommon for a device to loose it's dynamically assigned network ip address or get its knickers in a twist for whatever reasons and results into 'cannot connect/ network not found' or worse, trying to assign itself somebody else's network if their signal is as strong as your own.
Not experienced that myself but i don't rule out anything when it comes to resolving network problems. Thank you for your suggestions. Yes, after restarting the unit is unable to connect. To make it work every time it starts up, I have to reset to factory settings and do the whole quick-setup and wi-fi auto-scan, then it actually finds the network and I can enter the wi-fi password. It then works fine until I switch it off again. Sometimes it stops working after a while of playing music with the message 'no network connection'. Doing the whole reboot and factory reset and setup malarkey is the only way I know how to get it working again.

This is so frustrating. I'm starting to consider selling it on ebay and buy something that actually works. I haven't fiddled with the way the router assigns IPs so I assume it's dynamic. I will confirm when I get home tonight and will try to make it static for the Marantz. I tried to set up wireless with a static IP and it worked once. It stopped working after turning it off and on again. I tried wired and it works every time, even after switching it off.
So the issue is definitely the wireless but I'm still stumped as to what's causing it. Changing wireless channel on the router sometimes works but only as long as I don't switch the Marantz off. I understand that using homeplugs would allow me to use wireless but I'm not willing to buy something to patch up something that should just work. I'd rather sell it and buy something that works. No other appliances have an issue with wireless so why should the Marantz?
I tried to searching for a firmware upgrade at the Marantz website. It asks for the product serial and to add insult to injury it doesn't accept the player's serial number. So not even that works!
They say to contact the vendor but I bought it second hand. I'm really loosing faith in the Marantz brand.
Does anyone know if there is some sort of customer support that I can speak to as one last shot at trying to get to the bottom of this? Check that your router hasn't issued the same IP address to two devices. You state that you set a static IP once - did you delete this (both on the router and the Marantz) and re-enable DHCP? To be sure of clearing a problem on the router do a factory reset. I had a similar issue with a Squeezebox Radio once and the only thing that cured it was factory resetting the router and restarting everything.
Failing that do you have another router that you could try just to ensure that it's not an issue? Hi there I had exactly the same problem. When I turned my Marantz NA6005 on (after it has been completely turned off, not just on standby) it couldn't connect to my wifi and if I tried an auto-scan it couldn't find any WiFi at all.
I then had to reset it and then it would see all the WiFi around (about 8-10). Then it would work again, but if I completely turned it off (not just standby) the same happen again.
I got a new NA6005 from the retailer but that unit did exactly the same. I had the old one with the new one for a week and hooked both up in the living room (3 meters from the router) and did some test (both with the latest firmware). I found out that the problem is that if I completely turn them off on the wall power outlet (of course I put them on standby first before turning off the power) and wait until they disappear from my router on the routers DHCP-list as a wireless client, they can not connect to my WiFi and they don't see any WiFi at all when I do an auto-scan. I have tried to reset each of the two units about 30-40 times, every time I completely turn off the power they can not connect to my WiFi when I switch them on again. But if I just put them on standby they will reconnect every time they are turned on.
Now I tried to turn off 'Networks-control' and just put them back on standby. The result is as if they where completely turned off. They can not reconnect to my WiFi and they can not see a single WiFi if I do a auto-scan.
I have tried to turn of DHCP and assign a fixed IP-address but that doesn't make a difference. I have tried to make a reservation on the router, no difference. Just to exclude my own router/WiFi I have now tried on two neighbors WiFi (one with an Aruba access point and one with a Zyxel router), but with the excact same result. My router is a TP-Link Archer C9 on a 100/100 Mbit fiber which have been a very stabile router, I never had problem with it. I have around 15 other wireless clients on my WiFi (iPhones, iPad, PC, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Wii and a blue ray player), and there have newer been any problems at all connecting to my WiFi. For daily work I'm a computer-technician, so I know how to handle my router and a wireless network. So the problem is not my router, interference from the neighbors network (I live in a house, not an apartment), poor WiFi signal (I did most of this test around 3 meters from ny router), IP-address conflict or any other things concerning my router.
If I wire the units they will work every time they are turned on. The problem is when I completely turn off the power from my Marantz NA6005 it's like it 'forgets' my WiFi and also can not scan for a wireless network. A few times they will work for the very first time I switch them on after doing a reset, but only the first time (and only a few times). Next time they can not connect. So if you keep your Marantz NA6005 on standby with 'Networks-control' on they will work when you turn them on (it will consume more power when on standby with 'Networks-control' on than without 'Networks-control' on). If you completely turn your unit off you will have to wire it with an Ethernet cable.
